Family owned restaurant with a good friendly vibe. Had a chicken, pork souvlaki dinners with rice and potatoes. Ask had poutine with cheddar cheese.
A decent quantity of food portion and cooked fresh. I recommend this place especially for the price it is good value. -

This place is solid, filling and tasty. Had the chicken souvlaki dinner w/ gravy. This place was busy so it looked like they par cooked the chicken and finished it on the grill as the food was ordered. Considering the volume of business, the chicken was still fresh, but not as juicy as if it was cooked to order. The fries were hot and crisp and the gravy probably came from a box, but I ain't holding anything against it.
It's counter service and there's probably 4-5 tables and some stools along the window, but it seemed most of the customers were ordering takeout. Service was friendly, efficient and sometimes hilarious. -

This is a very popular spot for getting your Greek on! There are some tables and chairs as well as seating alongside the front window. Kathy is always friendly, even when she's busy processing a large number of take-out orders. The Chicken Souvlaki dinner ($11.45) is quite consistent. The chicken is well marinated and moist, and the potatoes/fries, salad and tzatziki sauce are tasty. Parking is limited, but the prices are reasonable.

This is becoming a common occurrence! How many times have we driven up and down Kennedy Road, but never really glanced over at Kathy's Grill. When my fellow Yelpers told me about it, I thought, where is it located? I have never seen it before! Well, we finally made it here!
We thought it was a small place shared with other stores in a strip plaza, but it is actually a stand-alone restaurant. The parking lot is quite small, so there are limited spots. The inside has a long counter for take-out items with an open kitchen. There are a few tables on the side as well as some bar stool seating.
Since it was our first time, I was asking one of the women some questions, and she was very helpful. When I asked her name, she said it was Kathy ....lol
We ordered the Chicken Souvlaki dinner and the Open Face Hot Hamburger, with a side order of onion rings. I find chicken dishes at Greek restaurants can be quite hit or miss (as in dry, dry, dry). Kathy told me she buys good quality meats and the chicken is cut and marinated in-house. The Hot Hamburger is made with fresh ground beef. The food is indeed very fresh and hot! I have a problem with warm food, is it just me? I like my food hot, hot, hot, or cold, cold, cold! The salad dressing is also homemade and it was lightly tossed, not overly coated. The fries were nice and crispy, not soggy! I did find the gravy a bit salty, but that is my personal opinion. My husband loved "my"fries and gravy so much; he kept digging in, even though he had his own. As for the chicken souvlaki, my fellow Yelpers assured me Kathy's version is moist and tender ... YES!
We struck up a conversation with a gentleman beside us, and Kathy came over to ask how everything was. We all started talking about how clean the place is, and Kathy explained how high her expectations are regarding hygiene. Our discussion turned to kitchen nightmares and she said she does not tolerate any of it. She has one employee that handles the cash, and if that person does something else, they wash their hands. There is no cross contamination.
There are a few very important details when we eat out: cleanliness, good quality food and friendly/courteous service. Kathy's Grill exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely come back to try their other menu items.
Kathy: It was dinner hour yet you stayed and chatted with us for well over 20 minutes! It was so nice to meet you; we will see you again very soon!
Chicken Souvlaki Dinner - $11.45
Open Face Hot Hamburger - $7.45
Onion Rings - $3.40
Drinks - $1.40 each -

This family owned restaurant is run by friendly & experienced people who remember their customers preferences quickly. It may seem chaotic behind the counter, but rest assured that your order will be executed efficiently with accuracy.
The restaurant itself is small and tidy. I have eaten there once, but usually I call in advance for pick up. My order each time, is their pork souvlaki dinner with rice. Never disappoints.
Kathy's is definitely a no-nonsense foodie hot spot-that leaves my wallet happy.
